Former GE plant zoning change proposal

The owners of the old GE Plant on South Service Road (near QEW & Trafalgar) are asking for an official zoning plan amendment to redevelop the site in the future. It’s currently being used for an Access Storage facility. The concept includes three blocks of mixed-use buildings ranging in height from 30-48 storeys.

Have your say on the budget

As mentioned on Friday, the Town is proposing a 4.84% property tax increase next year. If you want to provide input, you can go to a special council meeting on December 12^th to have your say.

Search for car theft suspect

A Halton police car was hit on Friday by a stolen car on North Service Road in Oakville as the driver tried to take off. He got out of the car and ran off. Police have a picture of the suspect on their website.

Jay-Z is now accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 allegedly along with Sean “Diddy” Combs.  The accuser says the assault happened after she was driven to an MTV Awards afterparty. He denies the allegations.
