EV deals from Hertz

The Verge reports that Hertz in the U.S. is contacting people who rent its electric cars with great offers to buy them instead of bringing them back.  It sites one example of a renter who was offered a purchase price of $17,913 to buy a 2023 Tesla Model 3 with 30,000 miles on it.  The company tells the website that the strategy of letting renters know that they also sell cars isn’t new.
