Ontarians giving up on homeownership dreams
A study from the Ontario Real Estate Association finds that 25% of aspiring homeowners have given up on their dream of homeownership, and 24% are pessimistic about their chances. The study also found that 51% of Ontarians expect housing prices to increase in the next year.
Poilievre Promise: Reverse Liberal capital gains tax hike if elected
Pierre Poilievre is promising to reverse the Liberal governmentâs controversial changes to taxes if he takes power in the next federal election. Speaking in Vancouver, Poilievre emphasized the need to reduce the tax burdens on Canadians especially with the incoming Donald Trump presidency.
Allan Street to be closed for 3 months
Allan Street will be closed starting Monday from MacDonald Road to Galt Avenue. Itâs for underground work for the new homes going in on the former hospital site. The road is expected to re-open at the end of April.
