Coyote Close Call
It was a close call for a Toronto woman and her small dog returning home from a walk in Liberty Village. A coyote attacked the woman’s pup, and showed no fear when she told it where to go.

The province says it’s been talking to the owners of the 407, but the Finance Minister says he hasn’t looked at the numbers yet.

No GO Train service from Union Station to Oakville this weekend.
New Tech for Police
The forensic team at Halton Police are getting new technology that speeds up how they capture gun-related evidence. It basically does DNA-like analysis on firearms, allowing police to compare data from different crime scenes. The Chief says it’ll help identify suspects and connect cases.
New noise by-laws
Town council has approved new noise rules. For residents, outdoor noise from things like music and TVs needs to be a bit quieter (50dBa down from 55dBa), but it’s allowed until 7pm now (used to be 5pm). Downtown businesses can now play patio music until 10pm.
